Farmers’ Market of the Week

Cooperstown

Jul 27 – Aug 2
This week’s market is the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, 101 Main Street, Cooperstown, NY 13326. The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, located near Doubleday Field, is open every Saturday year-round and Tuesdays July-September.The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, founded by Otsego 2000 in 1991, supports local farmers, growers, makers, and artisans and offers a direct connection between producer and consumer. A Saturday ritual for many, the Farmers’ Market is a welcoming place of community. The market draws more than 40 vendors from within a fifty-mile radius, providing a wonderful array of local foods and hand-crafted items. The Market continues its commitment to local food access for all by participating in SNAP/EBT, the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, and the Cooperstown Food Pantry Market Voucher program. Customers shopping with SNAP benefit from a local Cooperstown Lions Club SNAP Match of up to $20 per market for SNAP eligible food, plus a Double Up Food Bucks match of up to $20 per market for fruit and vegetables. So a $20 EBT spend earns you $60 worth of local food. Your food budget goes further at the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market.

Round out your shopping list with honey, flowers, plants, spirits, maple syrup, sweet treats, artisan crafts, prepared meals, made-to-order sandwiches, soup, skincare, home goods, gifts, wellness and CBD products, and more!

Features

The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market is the only heated indoor farmers’ market in the region and operates year-round every Saturday, rain or shine. Visitors can enjoy live music each week while shopping for fresh local products.

Free children’s activities are offered on the first Saturday of every month, and the market also hosts special events throughout the year, including Honeybee Day, Zucchini Day, Pumpkin Day, and more.

The market is committed to making healthy local food accessible to everyone. Customers using SNAP benefits can take advantage of two matching programs, allowing a $20 SNAP purchase to provide up to $60 worth of locally produced food.

On select dates, the market also hosts Repair Cafés in partnership with Otsego 2000, Otsego County Conservation Association, and Otsego Land Trust. These community events invite residents to bring broken household items and work with volunteer repair experts who help fix them free of charge, promoting sustainability and reducing waste.
