Food Safety Modernization Act & Good Agricultural Practices
Fruit and vegetable growers and other farmers to learn:
- FSMA Produce Safety Rule and GAPs
- Co-management of natural resources
- Food safety requirements and writing a farm food safety plan
Course can satisfy requirements for FSMA Produce Safety Rule, and to become compliant in food safety depending on gross annual farm income.
Training benefits growers selling to food hubs or institutions and those participating in NYS Grown and Certified Program.
Cost is $35 per person.
Space is limited and pre-registration with non-refundable payment is required in advance. Seats are only guaranteed with payment. Payment can be made in advance by check, cash, or credit. Additional donations for CCESC programs are appreciated.
Anyone can enroll in CCESC for an annual contribution of $25 per household.
This program is funded through a USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant to the County of Sullivan Industrial Development Agency.
Program sponsors include CCE Orange County, and the Local Economies Project.
