Thanksgiving at The Farm

10:00 to 16:00
THE FARMERS’ MUSEUM, 5775 State Highway 80, Cooperstown, NY 13326
Admission is by donation. All dollar amounts welcome. (Visitors may donate whatever dollar amount they wish to enter the museum during Thanksgiving at The Farm. No food items, please.)
Walk off your holiday meal with a stroll through the idyllic historic village at The Farmers' Museum as the museum opens its doors on the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving Day (November 29-30 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) for Thanksgiving at The Farm. The museum is the perfect setting to spend time with family and friends over the holiday weekend. Watch our talented interpreters bake pumpkin and mincemeat pies at the Lippitt Farmhouse–then find their recipes printed for you on the press at the Middlefield Print Shop. Ride the Empire State Carousel, see the blacksmiths make cooking tools throughout the day, and savor the aroma of coffee being ground and roasted in Bump Tavern. If you still have an appetite, enjoy a snack at the museum’s Crossroads Café, and complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, and warm wassail in Bump Tavern.
Bring the entire family! Kids can catch a glimpse of the heritage-breed turkeys, visit the farm animals, or just enjoy a brisk walk around the museum's historic village. Double your fun with a visit to Fenimore Art Museum – just across the road – with several exhibitions on view!
Find beautiful holiday items and greeting cards at The Farmers' Museum Store as well as interesting items based on the history and culture of New York and rural America. At Todd’s General Store, during Thanksgiving at The Farm, find items from our region’s past that you can’t find anywhere else. The main museum store is open for holiday shopping Tuesday-Sunday (closed Mondays and Thanksgiving Day) from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. through Christmas Eve.
Admission to Thanksgiving at The Farm is by donation. Visitors may donate whatever dollar amount they wish to enter the museum. (No food items, please.)
