Presenting the Maple Shade Hootenanny…a what?
Hootenanny: a twentieth century colloquialism…a freewheeling music event…a rural word for party or get together…
Many things remain at the event’s core…family friendly fun, music, delicious food, local artisans, games and workshops. What’s evolving…? More entertainment, more interactive experiences, more hygge for visitors and vendors, more HOOT and new traditions.
Our mission at Maple Shade Farm has always been to showcase local farms, producers, artisans and makers while making a significant cultural and economic impact on the area, blending old and new Catskills together in the spirit of community-building and a sense of place. Sharing our space for an established tradition leverages the reach and impact for all involved.
