The Maiden's Creamery utilizes low input, sustainable, ecological management practices to produce goat milk. All animals are humanely raised without antibiotics or hormone on certified organic pastures. The goat dairy herd is in transition to certified organic. The goat herd recieves the bulk of their nutrition from intensive rotational grazing over the 90 acres of grass pasture, bushy bramble pasture and woodland. The farm stead creamery, The Maiden's Creamery, produces raw milk goat cheese aged 3 to 5 months. Last seasons production is aged to ultimate flavor.This season's cheese will be available for sale starting mid summer. The Maiden's Creamery creates artisian washed rind cheese from the raw goat milk in 3.5 to 4.5 lb wheels. The cheese is aged 3 to 10 months. The dairy is in transition to certified organic.
